A follower spoke with the Sage -
I'm concerned. I don't love others the way I used to.
How do you know?
Well, I don't feel it like I used to.
Feel what?
Love. What can I do about it?
Stay with not feeling love as you did; fully be with what that feels like. In time, you'll arrive at a love you can't feel. Loving feelings will come and go, but you won't feel them. Actually, this Love is already present, and, one day, you'll be ready to be present to it.

Becoming the Wine
Quit acting intoxicated -
the bottle remains unopened
Stumbling and stuttering
you play the fool
Trying to appear spiritual
shows you're not
No thought of spiritual or unspiritual
is the Way of ecstatic union
Drinking the Beloved's Wine
you become the Wine
No separation, then, between
that world and this world
God and you
To become one with Love
jump into bed with Her!
Staying to yourself
never leads to oneness
Yet, you can be alone
making love with the world
Communion arises from union -
yearning for oneness means
oneness is present
Just remember
to make love with what is
worthy of your love
For
Not all lovers are equal
and many betray
Guard your heart -
if you lose it ...
what's left?
If you take care of it
the whole world becomes
your Friend

All shapes love takes in the human realm are expressions of a single Love. Love Itself is implicit in these loves. This is so whether you love a lover, a friend, a family member, an animal, a tree, a sunset, or a rock.
What we love becomes sacramental to us. What we love is no longer an end in itself but a means. Loving becomes like children playing with no intent, playing to play. With no end, in Love you realize an end - yet, the word "end" is inapplicable. So, Love is.
Whatever you love and the love by which you love, let it remain free. Finally, you realize there is no separation between the love you give and receive and the Fount of that love. You come to see all love is loving, for love cannot not love.
As the river is the river flow, how can the river say, "I flow"? "River" and "flow" - no separation. In the ecstatic union with Love, Love happens, and there is no one to say, "I love."
